Pomegranates are not only tasty and nutritious but are beautiful and graceful too. This fruit which is mentioned in the Torah as one of the seven species of the Land of Israel is different to any other fruit in the world.

The fruit itself is made up entirely of juicy flesh covered seeds and is compared to the analogy of even the least observant Jew who is still filled with good deeds, like the seeds of the pomegranate.

It is commonly eaten on Rosh Hashanah by Jews around the world, as a symbol that our merits should be as numerous as the seeds of the pomegranate.

It is associated with beauty and splendour in the book of Shir Hashirim written by King Solomon, with it’s rich red exterior and it’s crown in a ring at the top.

It is mentioned many times in the Torah and G-d even instructed the shape and form of the pomegranate to be sewn from special threads and to decorate the hem of the cloak worn by the Kohen Hagdol, the High Priest in the Beit Hamikdash.

It is known for it's strong anti inflammatory, antioxidant and healing properties in protectting the body from illnesses.

Bring a taste of Israel with this unique painting of this most wondrous fruit into your home!
