My passion for history and art combined. This beautiful pastel artwork is based on the famous photo of 'the ink flag.' It was taken in 1949 and marked in the last operation of Israel's war of Independence which began in 1948- and was from beginning to end one huge miracle. A story of how one small fledging army, comprised of mainly holocaust survivors and refugees, managed to defend themselves and their country from five huge surrounding countries. When you start to read and research all the details, your heart starts to fill with wonder, amazement and abundant gratitude for the miracles God did and continually does for us.
